More Things...
I bought this new chair a few weeks ago for the living room. It's more comfortable than the chair we had there and it fits in with the style better. I moved that one into the master bedroom.
I painted the bottom of the TV stand black to blend in with the TV cover we made. I will get some wood knobs for the bottom to tie it in even more. Hubby might make some raised panel doors for it later which will make it look more primitive too.

It's Been A While...
The main reason it's been so long, is that I've been working on this blanket. It was fairly easy to do, but the different stitches involved made it go so slow. The pattern doesn't show up great in pictures, but it's the fanciest thing I've knitted so far.
I also took a couple of weeks to make this cross stitch. I will rotate it in the hallway with my other seasonal cross stitches. I have a small block colonial house to put on the shelf under it.
I got a new quilt for our bed in the new light brown room. The other one was a comforter with a flannel duvet cover and it was way too hot. This gives us the option of using one of the many blankets I've been making.

Room Update
I redid the small third bedroom. I used the same creamy light brown that we did my Mom's bedroom in last year. I loved it so much I found a room to use it in. Mostly, I used decorations from other rooms to update it. I had to remove the border that was in there. I like that it makes the room look a little bigger.

Projects
I always seem to get projects in clusters. I've wanted a coat closet for years, but I only have a tiny utility closet on the whole first floor and I need a place to store the vacuum and tools. My Mom suggested just getting a cabinet for that stuff. It was a little easier said than done, but I finally found a cabinet that would accommodate the tall handles of the mops and such. I will be painting the door and front an off white so it's not as bright and it was fairly cheap so if I ever find something better it's no big loss. Of course I had to rearrange the computer room and wall decor to fit it in there so that created more projects. I still have to touch up the wall paint.
This is my new coat closet. It's the best picture I can get because I can't back up enough since it's in a hallway. It's working perfectly and I'm happy with it.
This is our old computer armoire that was an oak veneer before. I love this creamy off white color (it's what I will paint the utility cabinet door with). I added the bead board to the doors to give it a little more of a country look.

Sweater
This is my first (maybe last?) attempt at knitting a sweater. It came out pretty good for a first attempt. It's nothing fancy, just has ridges in it that are a little hard to see in the pictures. I have a ton of this yarn that was leftover from a fancy hooded sweater my Mom made for me. I still have some more of this yarn left. I wonder what I should make with it next...

Wood Projects
I saw this shelf online and loved it, but it was too expensive for me. We recreated it pretty closely and I love how it came out. I put it in the downstairs bath/laundry room. I got a better towel for the towel bar and it's ironed, but you get the idea.
My Mom liked little benches like this, but she didn't want to pay a lot for something that would be outside so we made her one. I liked it so much, we made one for me after.

Kitchen/Dining Room
I decided to remove the wallpaper in the kitchen and dining room and paint it a neutral color so it wouldn't look so busy. My Mom helped me do both. She was a huge help and we used a steamer to get it done easier. The color is a light off white with some yellow in it. It goes good with the bottom of the dining room walls that were already done.
