Hill-Scaping

I was tired of nothing growing on the hill out back. A couple years ago we lugged new dirt and seeded and even got mats to hold the seeds on the hill. Grass came up for a season and then here we are with a desert again. I saw a bush garden in a magazine and they had a path through the woods and I thought that would be nice out back. We created this bush garden and paths and we found a cute arbor at Lowes (on clearance already!).
Unfortunately, when we were finally done with the big part of the hill, the part that had already been done for years looked awful. I weeded it and trimmed and got a few new plants for the area. There are still a couple left to be put in, but I had to get the proper place for sun/shade first. When we finished sprucing that up, the area above it looked terrible. We got more bushes and did a strip above it.
That's it for this year, aside for a few more things in the old rock area and some spreading Juniper bushes for the very steep end at the far right of the picture. Please notice that every rock, huge in the middle and small outlining everything (except for the rock area that was already done), was dug out of each hole that we had to put a plant in by Hubby. There were even extra that I thew into the woods to make it look neater. He's the best rock hunter!
