Drawers

I finally received my drawers after 4 days of chasing it from Fedex. The drawers are perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I'm storing decorations for my holiday house and house cross stitch in it. I put together the little burlap sack and candle on top recently too.

Village

This is my Christmas village. I got two new houses on the left side this year because my mom had extra.

Here is my country style tree with the new tree skirt. Don't mind the static mats around the tree, they're the only thing that keeps Max away.

New Cow Clock

I got this fun cow clock for my Birthday.

Quick Stitching

I noticed that the stuff on the wall wasn't centered in the bath/laundry room ever since I put the decorative clothesline in the laundry console. I whipped up this little quilt pattern and I decorated the frame with the coat hanger and clothespins. I put a little silver paint on the coat hanger so it would show up better against the black.

New End Table

I saw a teal cabinet at Target that I loved, but I didn't think I could find a place it would fit. The color limited where it could go too, but the teal just popped. When I went to show my Mom the cabinet, I saw that they had it in half size so I ordered it right away. I love it as my end table and it's so nice, Hubby suggested we get another one to replace his table so I ordered it last night.

Cow Sampler

I had to do something with the cute cow pattern I found in the book I've been using so I turned it into a sampler. I didn't have anywhere to put it so I chose the upstairs hallway. Now I have to find a place for what was there...

The Last Of The Ornaments

I finished making the rest of the ornaments for the stitched house door. I didn't like the St Patrick's Day one they had so I made the shamrock from a different pattern and the Easter one was OK, but I like the egg better. I cut out a duck that was hugging it and changed the pattern a little so it would fit.

I've been making little door ornaments for the house cross stitch. I have about 3 left to make.

I'm So Glad It's Done!

I finally finished the Fall cross stitch yesterday. This one was complicated and turned into a chore to work on, but I pushed through and it's done.

Laundry Console

We made this laundry console cubby over the weekend. My washer broke a couple weeks ago and I had to order a new set. The folding table we had on the old ones wouldn't fit on the new ones so I came up with this idea. I put the stain stuff and fabric softener behind the doors. I will hang the little laundry line in the open cubby once the paint is dry enough. I think it came out great.

Having A Cow!

A couple of months ago I went to a craft fair. Before I left, Hubby suggested I get a new cow for my collection. The fair turned out to be a disappointment and they didn't have any cows. Ever since, I looked for a new cow everywhere I went. No luck. Then Hubby suggested I look on Ebay. Well, I've found a bunch of new cute cows. I got a tiny wooden one, a wooden wall hanger one, a ceramic one and even a cow shaped napkin holder. Then, I asked Hubby for a box full of Ebay cows for Christmas.

New Centerpiece

I usually use a pumpkin with a floral arrangement I made for the Fall table centerpiece, but I had to get a new one this year. Our stupid cat decided last year that he loved the berries that stick out of the pumpkin arrangement and he would constantly reach onto the table and knock it over and pull it to the edge so he can chew on it. I put the pumpkin arrangement on top of the pantry cabinet this year and I found this cute jar. It's actually a candle holder but I removed that part and I put orange berry rings on the bottom and a little pumpkin on top. It came with a red ribbon on it, but I changed that to black. I'm actually going to use this for the Christmas centerpiece too by changing the ribbon back to the red one and adding some red berries or something Christmasy.

Projects and Fall

I took a break from the Fall cross stitch I'm working on and I whipped this cute holiday house out in a month. It's in the computer room.

I did the Fall decoration for the door.

I saw a "quilting" idea in Woman's Day magazine last month and I decided to make a quilt for over the couch for Fall. It's made with craft paper and I drew in lines to look like stitches.

I know it's a little early for Fall things, but I've already started Fall cleaning. I've got 3 rooms done downstairs and only 2 left. I want to have the downstairs all done before September rolls around so that I can put out my Fall decorations and know that all the decorations I'm putting away are already clean and all the areas the decorations go are clean and ready.

Decals

I decided to use up some decals I had in the computer room since they go so good with the new border. I made this cluster over the shelves.

This is what I bought the decals for to put on the stair riser, but it was too big so I think it looks nice over the new window.

I put the little tag decals on the file cabinet. They're a little hard to see, but they go with the sayings in the border and the pictures sort of go too.

Computer Room Redo

I painted 3 walls in the computer room. I left the long hallway wall the light creamy color it was and did the other 3 walls in a light brownish tan color called Lady Finger. I put a new board print paper in the back of the computer armoire so it was a little brighter and you could see in there better. I added 2 small wreaths to the door. Don't mind the frame with nothing in it. I'm making a fun cross stitch to go in it right now. It's a house front with decorations for the seasons and holidays you can change.

I got this cute window for the room. I think it will be fun to decorate it for the seasons. I got the box stack and the doll along with it. I took the cow off of a hanging thing so I could display it.

This is a closer shot of the new border. It was simple and had cute sheep on it. you can see the wall color a little better too.

I'm way ahead of the game with Christmas so I'm just watching Elf today with the AC on. I only have to make a couple more orders and do stockings and gift cards when it's closer. I'm going to be redoing the computer room soon. I just made an order for a new border and a decoration for in there.

New Decorations

I got a couple of new things the other week. The little frog has grown on me so I finally bought it.

I got this jar and twisted the berries in it for the computer room shelves.

Fancy Lilac

I have this fancy lilac bush in the yard. This is the first time I cut flowers off of it because I want it to fill in some more. It doesn't smell as nice as a regular purple lilac, but it looks cool.

More New Things

I got this cute shelf. I had all the stuff to put on it. You'll recognize the candle and the star from a previous post and the crow hangy.

I got this little lamp at the same store. It's almost like the candle dish I have on the coffee table.

Memorial Day Flowers

I put together 4 pots for Memorial Day. I hope I can keep them blooming until it's time.

New Decorations and Crafty Things

I saw something similar to this at a store a few weeks ago and I got the stuff to make it myself.
I got the tin candle holder in the middle of the desk.













This was done up in the catalog so I got the stuff and put it together myself. It looks Summery.
I got the little house, sheep and star as a set and I filled in the rest with tiny hangy things. I moved the bigger things elsewhere.
 












I also got this shutter and the crow hangy thing.

New Decorations

I got this cute 3D star the other weekend. I decided the colors looked good in the kitchen so I put it on top of the pantry cabinet.

I got this crow tray at the same place. I'm still deciding if I will put it out all the time or just for the Fall.

I'm donating the wagon that I had on top of the pantry cabinet to make room for my new things. I'll be getting a few more new decorations this week probably.

CHAIRS

I got this nice armchair for the computer at Target. I also got the pillow on clearance . There are snowflakes on the front, but the back is perfect for the rest of the year. The chair looks much nicer than a wheeled chair and it's comfortable too.

I got this upholstered rocking chair for the computer room too. I wanted a place to sit and read in there because the only chair was the computer chair. It's a bit large for the room, but it's really comfy.

It's that time again. I'm not really doing anything today because I'm going to get my hair done. I have done stuff this month while preparing for Thistmaster. I'm way ahead of the game so far. I have the movie "Elf" to watch on the DVR at some point. I might make an order later today. I got a little gingerbread decoration while out shopping this weekend. I've been buying new chairs too. We should be getting the new computer chair today. I'll take pictures and put them up soon.

Thistmaster is Coming!

So we will be celebrating Thistmaster Saturday. I'm making the turkey dinner and we'll have yummy turkey soup after. I wrapped some Christmas presents today so I could wrap a little something for Thistmaster too. I'm almost done shopping for Hubby already. I have one big thing left and then a few smaller things and that's it. I didn't realize I was so far along already. I wrote everything I have down in my Christmas notebook. I listened to Christmas music, of course. I have Elf on the DVR to watch too. I will probably save that for another day though.

Happy Rudolph Day!

I've made another order for gifts for Hubby. It should be arriving in a few days. I had a great flood of inspiration the other day and put loads of stuff in my Amazon cart. I have an idea of everyone's gifts for Christmas. I think I will be done shopping extra early this year. On top of getting a good early start on Christmas shopping, I have finished Spring cleaning already too! I just have the porch left to clean out, but it's still too cold for that. Maybe it will stop snowing soon and I can start going out there to read and relax, after cleaning it out of course. I've got a bunch of stuff going to donations too. It amazes me that I still find stuff to get rid after the past two years of clearing stuff out. Hope everyone has a fantastic and productive Rudolph Day.

Cute

I got this little bunny light bulb a few weeks ago. It was too cute to resist.

Deals

I went to the Christmas Tree Store over the weekend to get this cute gourd bunny. My Mom had one and I thought it was so adorable I had to go see if they had any left. They did.

In the clearance area, I found this cow wreath thing. It had a sign on top that was half broken off, but I didn't want that part anyway. I took it off and fixed the broken hanger. I'm going to add a bow over the little marks on the ring. It was only .75 cents!

I also got this St Pat's wreath for the front door. I only had 1 day to put it out this year, but it will be useful for many years to come.

I got this little farm pillow in the clearance area for only $1.00 too. I figured for that cheap I would put it on the porch for the Summer. I love cows in case you can't tell.

Some Stuff

I got this light months ago. I moved the little chair to near the front door to put the light on since it was the perfect size. It's on the switched plug that we never used before because it's near the front door and I never knew what kind of light to put there. It's pretty handy to have a light on the switches so we don't have to walk blindly through the room at night.

I had Hubby put screws on the back of this shelf and I put picture wire on them so I could hang it. I put it in the living room where the little chair was.

Happy Rudolph Day!

It's Rudolph day again. I just ordered a couple things from my Amazon cart for Hubby. I've made a couple suggestions to myself in my Christmas folder in my email over the past month too. I think today I will start cleaning out my craft supplies in preparation for Spring cleaning the craft/exercise room. I was going to clean another room today, but Hubby is working from home due to ice in the driveway this morning. This is the third weekend in a row we've gotten snow. It's a little late for Winter to start now. I think we deserve some Spring weather soon. I started my spring cleaning already. I've scrubbed down the kitchen and dining room already. Over the weekend, I did the computer room. I just have the living room and downstairs bath left for the first floor. Not too bad for so early.

Some New Things

I got a cute picture I ended up hanging on the upstairs bathroom door.

I got a new soap pump for the upstairs bath. I put the bow on it from the last one so it wouldn't go to waste.

I got this little shelf that I liked for months. So far I'm keeping it on top of the desk in the computer room instead of hanging it on the wall.

We got a new night stand for the bedroom. I loved this rustic table so I spent more than I would have liked to on it, but it's exactly what I was looking for.
