Sweater

This is my first (maybe last?) attempt at knitting a sweater. It came out pretty good for a first attempt. It's nothing fancy, just has ridges in it that are a little hard to see in the pictures. I have a ton of this yarn that was leftover from a fancy hooded sweater my Mom made for me. I still have some more of this yarn left. I wonder what I should make with it next...

Wood Projects

I saw this shelf online and loved it, but it was too expensive for me. We recreated it pretty closely and I love how it came out. I put it in the downstairs bath/laundry room. I got a better towel for the towel bar and it's ironed, but you get the idea.
My Mom liked little benches like this, but she didn't want to pay a lot for something that would be outside so we made her one. I liked it so much, we made one for me after.

Kitchen/Dining Room

I decided to remove the wallpaper in the kitchen and dining room and paint it a neutral color so it wouldn't look so busy. My Mom helped me do both. She was a huge help and we used a steamer to get it done easier. The color is a light off white with some yellow in it. It goes good with the bottom of the dining room walls that were already done.

Dining Room Stuff

I had a few crow things so I decided to get some more and do the whole hutch with crow stuff. I think it looks good in the new dining room.
I got a new chandelier for the dining room. I'm using LED lights so I wanted shades to hide the ugly, but the shades are a little big. It's the best I can do though so I'm living with it that way.

Bathroom Redo (Again!)

I just painted the upstairs bathroom last year, but I was never really happy with the color. Every time I saw my Mom's or Aunt's bathrooms, I was jealous because I liked their colors better. Finally, I just decided to repaint. My Mom had enough of the bottom color for me to use and I got the top color. I figured if I was going to repaint again, I should upgrade the accessories too. We got new towel bars, a light and a faucet in bronze. Then, I decided to get new brown curtains because my Mom has them and it looks good with the colors. I'm finally happy with the whole bathroom look. No more painting for me for a while.

Projects

I made this throw as my first attempt at knitting cables. It came out good and it was pretty easy. It's very thick yarn and really heavy though.
I decided to put a shelf above the bedroom windows. I love how it looks, so now we have to make a shelf for the single window on the other side of the room.

Bedroom Redo

I hated the gray color I painted our bedroom last. It was warm and it looked purple, but the room is so big I lived with it because I didn't want to paint again. My Mom said she'd help me paint so I decided to redo the room. I found a picture with a quilt shelf above a bed and I found a shelf that was similar.
We made a new nightstand for me and I put the chest of drawers I was using in the closet for more storage. It is very old and was putting sawdust on my PJ's when I opened the drawers. I got a new cabinet for the corner to store PJ's and sweaters. I like the new gray color much better and I think the room came out good.

Crafts

My Mom and I made this little prim dress. I hung it in the downstairs hallway.
We made this nightstand for my side of the bed. I wanted a smaller one that would balance out the other one for my bedroom redo.

Updates

I saw a picture with crows on stair risers on a porch and I liked it so I decided to get some for the inside stairs.
I decided to update the decor in the stairwell too. I took down a door with hooks that was on the front and I put up a twig wreath and a shelf with a sign.
I added some pops of red to the blue room to break it up a little bit. Then, it reminded me of Americana so...
I added a little Uncle Sam sitting on top of some flag boxes. I like how it turned out.
